Sonia is an Associate at Ascension. She is responsible for sourcing, screening and performing due diligence on investment opportunities for our tax efficient funds.

In 2017, Sonia moved from Lebanon to pursue a MEng Biomedical Engineering degree at Imperial College London. In parallel to her studies, Sonia co-founded an EdTech startup during the pandemic; an online study space for university students with the aim of increasing productivity while working from home. After graduating, Sonia joined Amazon as a Program Manager, analysing data to better understand customer behaviour and strategy at Amazon Fresh Stores.

Sonia is at her happiest when on skis, even representing Lebanon in Alpine Skiing events at the Youth Olympic Games in Lillehammer, Norway in 2016 and World Championships in St Moritz, Switzerland in 2017.
