Freya is an Associate at Ascension. She is responsible for due diligence, deal analysis, portfolio support for Ascension’s Institutional Funds.

After moving to Amsterdam in 2018 to study a Political Science, International Relations MSc, Freya worked for several NGOs, including Pax voor Vrede, the largest Dutch peace organisation and spent a brief time in the West Bank, Palestine, helping to launch a culture and arts festival for Palestinian youth.

After returning to the UK, she pursued her passion for the start up world, initially joining the founding team of Regionally, an investment start up supporting the UK levelling up agenda. After almost three years, eventually acting as Head of Investment and Marketing, Freya moved into partnerships, working with start up founder community, The Founding Network and development partner Deazy, before joining the Ascension team.

When not in work mode, Freya can be found cooking up a storm for her friends, trying to improve at life drawing or painting and looking for her next travelling adventure.
