What a night. We are thrilled to share that Ascension has been named Seed VC of the Year at the UKBAA Angel Investment Awards 2026 — the second time we have won this award, having first taken it home in 2022.
We were lucky enough not to leave it there. Alongside the top prize, the evening brought recognition right across our team and portfolio:
- Emma Blackburn, one of our Venture Partners, was named Angel Investor of the Year — richly deserved recognition for a track record that includes introducing us to Monolith AI, which went on to exit to CoreWeave.
- Fifth Dimension AI, which we first backed at pre-seed, won Scale-up of the Year.
We were also proud to see three more of our companies shortlisted on the night:
- NunaBio — finalist for Hardtech Investment of the Year
- Sprive — finalist for Impact Investment of the Year
- Monolith AI — finalist for Exit of the Year
Awards like these belong to our founders first and foremost — the people building the companies that make nights like this possible — and to the investors who back them alongside us.
