Misha Anwar

Misha is Head of Finance at Ascension. She is responsible for managing financial control, risk, and reporting, running a tight finance operation, directing financial strategy, and maintaining external and internal stakeholder relationships.

Before Ascension, Misha has several years of consultancy experience in the UK and EMEA region working for the United Nations Joint SGD fund, Deloitte and KPMG, working with VCs, PEs, Family Offices, impact investors, development finance institutions, social enterprises, foundations and government bodies. Additionally, she has a strong entrepreneurial spirit as she worked as Venture Manager for sustainable tech business in Positive Planet UK and co-founded and Tornado (Purpose Driven restaurants).

Misha is ACCA member and holds MPA- Social Impact from London School of Economics and Political Science, BSc Applied Accounting and Finance, Oxford Fintech (Said Business School, University of Oxford), Certified IFR and Certified Internal Auditor.

Misha is born and brought up in Pakistan and got her higher education in UK. She has experience working in diverse teams and cultures in several Gulf, South Asian countries and the UK. She regularly writes financial and economic articles for national and regional publishers and loves to paint coin-size detailed paintings.
